QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Director of Marketing to be part of flagship Rixos Tersane İstanbul. It is a newly constructed hotel that will be representative of refine hospitality. Rixos Tersane İstanbul will present 432 bedrooms. 

As Director of Marketing, you will drive the sales department at the hotel. You will work to establish a strong pre-opening team that will help to deliver this opening as an undeniable success. You will be responsible for managing the marketing team to focus on the marketing activities of the hotel and working within budgeted guidelines to achieve financial targets.


Your Responsibilities


As a Director of Marketing of Rixos Tersane İstanbul, you are responsible for managing the marketing activities at the hotel. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Unification of creative and content needs & solutions
  • Day to day management and supervision of creative and PR agencies
  • Assisting to consolidate reports, newsletters, marketing calendar updates and global sample orders.
  • Supporting brand events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Supporting international markets by providing creative files and information that they need.
  • Developing and driving marketing programs reflective of brand strategy.
  • Planning, managing and executing the department’s content strategy including social media, video production, website and public relations.
  • Planning & Supervising of own media with context suppliers and application teams
  • Liaising with all parties to guarantee adequate planning, execution and monitoring of marketing activities
  • Providing recommendations for future strategic initiatives through competitive analysis
  • Identifying, evaluating, creating and developing tourism opportunities such as co-marketing, cross promotion, brand integration and consumer experiences.
  • Identifying audience insights, increasing market share across key audiences to drive visits and maximizing opportunity for repeat visits through effective guest experience, annual pass sales, campaigns, upsells, add-ons and product development.
  • Assisting in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Planning and executing initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail etc.)
  • Assisting in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Undertaking individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
  • Building strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, tour operators and vendors
  • Overseeing and preparing marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies
  • Developing marketing actions & projects, including company websites and social media
  • Analyzing data to determine campaign efficiency management team
  • Assisting in preparing the monthly & annual Marketing Plans, and ensuring that marketing objectives are achieved, measured and analyzed.
  • Analyzing booking patterns and market trends



Your Qualifications


To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors and skills that follow:


  • University graduate
  • Fluent in English & Turkish
  • At least 7 years of experience in sales & marketing
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong digital marketing & e-commerce skills 
  • Experience with OTA (Booking, Expedia & TripAdvisor)
  • Skills in budget management
  • Skills in project management, coordination, marketing & brand communication
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Skills in on site & UX operations
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel PowerPoint, Keynotes and Photoshop (preferably)
  • Strong knowledge of revenues & analysis

More than 3 years of experience
